The weight of the cup in your hands is enough to bring a smile. Square Coffee Roaster has its own roasting equipment, and its generous servings make an everyday coffee feel all the more satisfying. A good place to start is the approachable Ryogoku Blend. It is balanced and easy to drink, with hints of a mocha-like flavour. For iced coffee, staff may be able to advise on the roast; a darker roast offers a pleasantly clean, toasty finish.
For something that brings out the harmony of coffee and milk, try the smooth, rich café latte or the café mocha, with its restrained sweetness. There is more to choose from beyond coffee, too: a matcha latte with a gentle bitterness, sparkling lemonade fragrant with spices, and baked treats displayed at the counter. If you find a coffee you like, you can also take beans home in quantities of 100 g.
Seating is available on both the 1 and 2 floors. Wood and subdued colours give the interior an inviting, almost home-like feel. Some people settle in with a book or work at their desk, while others stop by during a walk. You can enjoy a drink in or take it away. Payment is accepted in cash or by PayPay.
